Marbella’s location on the southern coast of Spain, sheltered by the Sierra Blanca mountain range, creates a year round superb climate. This former Mediterranean fishing village has been transformed over the years into a glamorous and cosmopolitan resort, offering something for everyone. Marbella enjoys magnificent beaches, gourmet dining, excellent golf courses, a myriad of sporting activities, a lively nightlife, sophisticated shopping, and an enchanting Andalusian countryside. For those families thinking of living the year around in Marbella, there is a wide selection of well-known International schools and Spanish schools. Despite Marbella’s growth during the last decades, it has still managed to retain its picturesque Old Town “Casco Antiguo”, with its winding, narrow cobbled streets, full of Andalucía’s traditional charm.
Malaga’s international airport, at a half hour drive, schedules direct flights to most European cities, and other worldwide destinations. From Malaga train station, Madrid is now only at 2 and ½ hours with the AVE (ultra fast train).
The taste of the true Marbella is found staying in one of its attractive homes, whether it is an “old-world” aristocratic villa on the famous Golden Mile, an avant-guard style apartment on the beachside or a magnificent villa by the best golf courses.
